ABOUT ME

I started my admission experience as an Assistant Dean of Admission and Financial Aid at Davidson College. While there, I developed a deep understanding of the intricate process of gaining admission to top national colleges. In this role, I evaluated numerous applications, worked with students, parents, and guidance counselors nationwide, and served on the merit scholarship interview committee. Additionally, I was the head athletic liaison for the admission office, assessing applications from Division I athletes and collaborating with coaches.

I then transitioned to the other side of the desk to work as an independent college counselor. This shift allowed me to engage with students and families from diverse backgrounds across the country. I love working with students to guide them through this critical time in their lives and help them tell their stories about what makes them unique. 

 

Beyond individual counseling, I advocate for students by aiding school districts in understanding the college admission process and assisting schools in developing new academic profiles and programming to highlight their strengths.

I am a proud member of several professional groups, such as the Independent Educational Consultant Association (IECA) and the Ohio Association for College Admission Counseling (OACAC). My commitment to ongoing learning is underscored by my certification from the Harvard Institute in College Admissions and completion of the Training Institute for Independent Educational Consultants. I also serve as a seasonal application reader for selective colleges.

Originally from New England, I have lived in several parts of the country. I attended Middlebury College with a degree in Biology and Psychology and captained the field hockey team. Before my time in admissions, I was a high school teacher, coach, and advisor. My husband and I have four children, two dogs, two cats, and several fish.

As a lifetime educator, I have dedicated myself to helping students succeed. As a parent myself, I intimately understand the importance of this process and would be honored to extend my dedication to supporting your child in their educational journey.
